[Verse 1] Cruella de Vil, Cruella de Vil If she doesn't scare you, no evil thing will To see her is to take a sudden chill Cruella, Cruella She's like a spider waiting for the kill Look out for Cruella de Vil
[Bridge] At first you think Cruella is a devil But after time has worn away the shock You come to realize you've seen her kind of eyes Watching you from underneath a rock!
[Verse 2] This vampire bat, this inhuman beast She ought to be locked up and never released The world was such a wholesome place until Cruella, Cruella de Vil
Why can't we see this movie (and a lot of other SF/F movies)in theaters like we're (usually) supposed to? I'd rather pay to see it on the big screen (in IMAX if possible-it's my favorite movie format) first, and then see it on home video afterward. But no, people got to let Covid-19 fuck everything up and not try to maintain a semblance of normalcy ('bash on, regardless!'). A Canadian expert (an organizational consultant working on best practices for emergency management during emergencies and who was a former executive director of the Alberta Emergency Management Agency said it best (https://archive.is/VIfND#selection-1131.16-1135.7)
Sorry for the rant, but this has been bugging me a lot recently. I think that these images from the movie are amazing, and they make me want to see the movie-but as I said, in theaters.
The lyrics of this song came to mind:
ReplyDelete[Verse 1]
Cruella de Vil, Cruella de Vil
If she doesn't scare you, no evil thing will
To see her is to take a sudden chill
Cruella, Cruella
She's like a spider waiting for the kill
Look out for Cruella de Vil
[Bridge]
At first you think Cruella is a devil
But after time has worn away the shock
You come to realize you've seen her kind of eyes
Watching you from underneath a rock!
[Verse 2]
This vampire bat, this inhuman beast
She ought to be locked up and never released
The world was such a wholesome place until
Cruella, Cruella de Vil
